Baptisms

At Most Holy Rosary, Most Precious Blood, St. Anthony, St. Ann, and St. George churches, the baptism of children under the age of six is offered. For your child to be baptized at any of these parishes, parents and godparents (with at least one godparent required to be a fully initiated Roman Catholic) must participate in a baptismal preparation session. If parents or godparents are unable to attend the preparation session at the parish where the baptism will take place, they must provide proof of having recently completed a similar session at another Roman Catholic church, regardless of location.

Baptism of adults

In line with the reforms of the Second Vatican Council, adults who wish to be baptized must go through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and receive baptism during the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night. This allows them to be welcomed into the Church alongside millions of other Christians worldwide. If adults being baptized at the Easter Vigil wish to have their children baptized as well, the entire family may be baptized together during the Vigil. For more information about RCIA, please contact the parish office.
